I will be 2 years sugar/flour free on March 22nd. I have been pretty much eating paleo since July 2010. I have had no rice/potatoes/beans/artificial sugars and a very, very small amount of dairy since then.
I truly believe that I owe my success to being part of Challenge Fitness. Good workouts, good friends and lots and lots of encouragement from everyone there. I think being around people that are so athletic, in shape and healthy has made me want to be more athletic, in shape and healthy. I have made goals I never thought I was capable of!
All I know is that the chick on the left would never be running the Shamrock Run this Sunday and LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!
Thank you everyone for helping me become a healthier me. I know my family is appreciating it!
Renee
Wow! Good for you. You are amazing. Good luck on Sunday!
ReplyDeleteRenee - That is so awesome!!! What an amazing accomplishment. And thank you for the Kudos for Challenge Fitness. We love the community of "athletes" that have come together at Challenge Fitness and it is such a blessing for us to be around so many fantastic people each day and see them accomplish new goals.
ReplyDeleteThe chick on the right is pretty, but the one on the left looks like a pretty athlete! Way to go, and congratulations.
ReplyDeleteWay to go Rene, quite a transformation.
ReplyDeleteJust an update on last nights meal of chicken breasts cooked on the grill with some chipolte rub from Whole foods. We also made the Brussel sprouts in bacon. Today we just did the second try at the waffles and figured out the coconut milk and egg whites were the issue last time. They turned out really well today. Now we are just making a list for the week of food to get and are starting to get a nice variety of left overs to have when needed as well.
Good job, Gregg! It is awesome that you are sticking with the challenge. I hope that you are reaping some great benefits from it! Now that I am on my second 30 day challenge, eating this way seems a little more "natural" to me. So if you are having any struggles right now, I think you will get them worked out if you decide to continue on Paleo style or decide to do another 30 day challenge later on.
ReplyDeleteWay to go everyone! Renee look at how far you have come, you are a beautiful person on the inside and out. Your Children and all of us look up to you, as you have taken your own life and health into your hands to make you and only you a healthy athlete! It was so great to see you after the 8K yesterday keep it going!!
ReplyDeleteGregg, glad to hear that the waffles turned out better the second time, and you are sticking with it. I am sure it is getting easier for you. You should praise kudos over your daughter for sticking with it, it's not an easy thing for a kid to do when their friends are eating junk.
Mary, I am so glad to hear your plateau is moving again for you. Keep up the great work.
Patti, I have no doubts that the Paleo is working for you, your running is at a whole new level and you totally rocked the 15K yesterday.
I look forward to seeing more results for all of us to come.. Happy Monday to everyone!
Kaci - great job to you as well! You almost caught me at the finish line.
ReplyDeleteI am proud to say I did not indulge in beer or chowder yesterday! It was close though.
